Many home education parents make use of tutoring facilities to assist with the curriculum — and many tutors are qualified teachers with a full understanding of the content.

Parents may choose an independent tutor who can provide learning support suited to their child’s needs.

Mindscape Education is the curriculum provider. Tutors may support learners in working through the curriculum, but tutoring arrangements are made independently by parents.
You choose the format
Tutoring services vary from individual lessons to group lessons — whatever suits your child best.
Tutors provide an important supporting role in a child’s learning journey.
Learning support is provided either on an individual basis between a tutor and a learner or within a group setting. Parents often choose to enlist the services of tutors to supplement their children’s education as tutors are uniquely equipped to support the home/distance education parent.
Tutors can:
- provide academic and subject-specific support,
- conduct invigilation for specific grades (subject to certain requirements in Grades 10 to 12), and
- provide assessment support.
NB! It is important to note that tutoring services cannot be offered in a manner that resembles a school.

Individual Lessons
One-on-one time with a tutor, focused entirely on your child and where they need support with the curriculum.
Group Lessons
Learning alongside other homeschooled children, with a tutor facilitating the curriculum for the group.
